Biography: Gerald is a managing partner at Strategyn D/A/CH* - iip innovation in progress GmbH. He also is the founder and chairman of the Platform for Innovation Management (PFI), a nonprofit group that fosters the exchange of experiences and collaboration in the field of innovation management (www.pfi.or.at). PFI currently has 136 members who represent more than 40,000 employees worldwide. It is Austria’s leading association in the field of innovation management.
In addition to his work in consulting, Gerald is a lecturer on innovation management at the University of Leoben. He is a member of PDMA.
With 17 years of experience as a project leader in the fields of innovation management, R&D, and strategic business development, Gerald has special competencies in the automotive, construction, mechanical engineering, medical engineering, municipalities, paper, plant engineering and construction, power supply, public transport and steel industries.
He holds a master’s degree in process engineering and business administration from Graz University of Technology. Prior to receiving his master’s, he completed a course of study in mechanical engineering.
